White-label taxi platforms all promise the same headline features: branded apps, dispatch, tracking, payments. The difference between winners and losers shows up in the fine print, and in the first three months of operation.
Use this 15-question checklist on every vendor pitch. Every question is one VAMOS answers yes to.
Apps
1. Are the rider and driver apps published under my Apple and Google developer accounts, or the vendor's?
2. Can I update branding (colour, logo, copy) without a new app-store submission?
3. Are updates free and continuous, or invoiced per release?
Dispatch
4. Is dispatch automated by default, with a manual override, or is manual the default?
5. Can I tune the allocation model per zone, per vehicle class, and per time of day?
6. Does the platform support scheduled bookings, multi-stop trips, and hotel partner requests out of the box?
Payments and payouts
7. Who is the payment processor and what is the effective rate after all fees?
8. Are driver payouts instant, daily, weekly, or vendor-scheduled?
9. Is the platform commission taken from the driver or added to the rider fare?
Data and portability
10. Do I own my rider database, my driver database, and my trip history?
11. Can I export all data at any time in a standard format?
12. If I leave the platform, are my apps de-listed or handed back to me?
Support and total cost
13. Is there a software setup fee? VAMOS charges $0; request written setup and implementation figures from every other provider.
14. Is there a per-ride surcharge, an SMS fee, or a map-tile fee on top of the monthly?
15. Do I get dedicated success management in the first 90 days, or a shared support inbox?
